In thisĀ video you will be watching us press the e receiver . We took vidoes from around the die. As you are watching it you can see the movement of the metal in the die. This is the first stamping. To finish the parts a second stamping will be performed. That will be in the next post.
Looking really good, that is one fine press. Plain to see that a lot of hard work went into the die. Harry
It’s very interesting to see the dies and the process. I have almost no knowledge of stamping shapes this complex and I’m getting a better understanding of problems that have to be solved.
Thanks very much for taking the time to both film and post about your work.
awesome!
where did you find the blueprints ?
(same question about the vg1-5)
There are no blue prints, The weapon is reversed engineered off of available weapons and pictures.
Nice! I had a similar thought for multi-section dies for MP44 receiver stamping. It makes the process of machining them much simpler, i’m sure.
Any plans to try MP44s down the line?
The MP 44 has crossed my mind. It is just way down on the list right now.
