Working on the V-9000 slide

With the receiver coming along nicely, still some changes need to be made, I started on the slide. With this carbine the slide is different then a typical C96.

The front of the slide is rounded and not angled and it is shorter.

I also want to make the front of the slide slightly longer for better barrel to slide engagement.

The first 3D print did not go well and pointed out some serious issues.

There was not enough material for the slide rails was the major issue.

The second 3D print corrected the missing material and by printing t a different angle came out reasonable well.

I still need to correct some issues. I need to change the size and shape of the slots for the rails, the firing pin block hole needs to be changed, I need to add material on the bottom of the slide under the barrel and I think I need to lengthen the rails. my next print will determine this.
