After we built the first prototype VG1-5 I just did not like the style and shape of the trigger guard. It caused problems with the location and operation of the trigger and just did not look like the original rifle.
A part of the building process is to make necessary changes when it is required. That is what we did.
With these next two pictures you can see the change.
A lot of pressure was required to do this task. So much so that it moved the fly press a lot.

Were you able to repress the old style into the new shape?
Yes we were. It still took a lot of pressure to change the shape
Since your going the extra mile on the VG1-5 any chance you would consider making a ” Fake ” Safety lever and add it to the left side of the receiver ?? It looks simple enough to fab up ??
