A day testing guns

This Sunday we spent 6 hours testing a variety of weapons. A few more VG1-5 rifles were tested. The MG-34 had all the springs replaced and was tested as well as the mpi-69. This is a quick video of what was 6 hours of actual work and testing.

The Ermawerke Carbine

A little while back a very interesting box showed up at the house.

And in it was another box.

But then when it was open you could see that there was plastic wrapped goodies.

Then like magic when the wrapping came off you could see something very interesting. First one.

Then another.

And when all […]

Another interesting MP-44 style rifle

A friend of gun lab sent these series of pictures of an MP-44 under folder rifle. I don’t have much to say about it other then it looks very interesting and I would like to have one.

A couple of pictures of the rifle with the stock extended.

This is one with the stock […]

FN-Fal 7.92×33 second version

With the last post we made on the 7.92×33 FN-FAL we showed a FAL that had a new ejector block and magazine made to allow the rifle to shoot 7.92×33. This post will show a different approach to reach the same conclusion, shooting 7.92×33. This series of photographs comes from another friend of Gun Lab […]

FN-FAL in 7.92×33

In my list of want to do build projects building an original FAL is on the top. The very first FAL ever built was in 7.92×33 and was slightly different then the current FAL that we know today.

This rifle is missing and all that is left of it are the pictures you see […]

OP 7 completed on the MP-44 trunnions

Op 7 has been completed. This is a major mill stone on making the MP-44 trunnions. The rest of the machining will be done on the manual mill. It will be easier on the manual mill then making the number of fixtures and tooling that would be required on the cnc machining center.

This is […]

Cut away of the STg 45 rifle

I thought it was time for another cut away rifle that would be interesting. Most people never have the opportunity to see a STg45 much less the cut away version. Enjoy the pictures.

This is a picture of both the 06 and 06H (STG-45)

This is the first of […]

MP-44 trunnion part 2

The next machining operation has been completed on the trunnion. This is one of the many unexpected problems with reverse engineering a component. The magazine did not fit. An error occurred that was missed. It is a good thing to check after every step which we do.

You can see the differences here and it […]

Gun Lab update

Not a big post for today, just an update on the projects we are working on.

First and most important is the VG1-5 project. I received a call this afternoon late that the firing pins can be picked up from the heat treating firm. With this last piece we can send the second rifle to […]
