Well more work has been completed on the solid model of the type 99 magazine. We have now finished both side with feed lips and bottom plate rib. Soon the follower and lower spring plate will be completed. When all the parts are completed it will be off to the 3-D printer.

Bob Naess sells reproduction springs for the Japanese type 99 LMG mags. I have a mag I could lend but it sounds like you need to do something destructive and it still works.

We use solid works for our modeling program, Have not thought about a drum.

We are actually working on the stamping dies. A few setbacks that did not work correctly, but working through them.
Will the top of the magazine be attempted or left with out one? To date there is a top that looks like a regular magazine with out the boxlike portion on it.
The top of the magazine will be in the final product. The magazine was stamped and that part added later. We will do the same.
I sure would be interested in some magazines. Have you come up with an estimate of the price per unit? I made a barrel which is pretty easy but the front sight assy is a bit of work. Perhaps you could consider making some of those as well along with the carry handle.
I would also love at least a couple magazines. I have a parts kit without a mag. Is there away to get on a waiting list? Any idea on the price per magazine? Thanks.
