It has been a while since I have posted an up-date on the VG1-5 project.
The fire control groups have all been assembled and tested. The top covers have been fitted to the rifles. Here are a few pictures of the rifles getting ready for the next operation.
At this point, how far would you say they are from completion?
A little welding, some minor machining, Parkerizing and the wood work. If I can get the cnc router moved to its new spot and running I will be down to the home stretch.
Stocks and hand guards. We are currently doing the last of the machining for pins this week. There is also some small welding to be completed.
Do you have an estimate for what these are going to run?
Sir, what distance is the fixed rear sight Zeroed for, like the original I assume ?
Great, the project will be finished by winter, I suppose. Shame not so often new posts here.
I try but by the time I finish work and then working on the shop issues there is not much time left
Again, what distance are they Zeroed for, and is it equal to the original ?
100 yards
Is there a way to be able to buy one in the near future? I do ww2 renactments and would love to have one of these to run with my Volks-strum outfit as well as shoot from time to time.
So close!!!!
They are. We have been making new fluting tools to test for proper operation of the rifle.
