Through out the design of the cnc router boot I wanted it to be easly removable to allow for tool touch off and replacement. The only easy way to do that is with magnets. I used the second test piece that I had added cardboard spacers and then magnets that I epoxy on to the router housing frame.
The magnets provide no interference to changing out the router.
Then magnets were epoxy into the boot.
The magnets allow the housing to stay attached to the frame.
With the hose attached hopefully this will all work.
The only issue I can currently see is possibly some drag on the line during operation.
Currently I am working on a spring design to hold up the hose but not interfere with the movement of the router gantry.
Hi Chuck, I am inquiring if you do any minor consulting work over phone, email, etc… I am building a few Mausers from the Sarco DuMoulin surplus they had and I would like to verify with you the Tooling I need from Pacific Tool and Guage and what to verify, inspect on these new never used DuMoulin Mauser Actions, Rebarreling, Etc…
Thankyou for your time.
Best Regards
John
