Gordie K., a friend of gun lab, was nice enough to send me some pictures of a Beretta model 57 that he made in semi auto only. This is one of my to do projects and I am excited to see someone accomplishing this. Here are a few pictures of his build.

One of the interesting designs of this rifle is that the barrel extension is held in only by brazing it is place. There are on pins or steps in the receiver.
The barrel extension still attached to the right side of the receiver.
The inside of the left side of the receiver showing the brazing material.
The barrel threads and barrel extension threads are an acme type thread instead of a normal type of thread.
The internal shape on the receiver is well thought out design for machining.

This is amazing, I’ve been drooling over the model 57 for a good while now and have been digging up all the information I could on it and to see these pics is awesome.
Since it’s semi auto only, is the front trigger the only one that works or can the “full auto” trigger work as well?
Just the front trigger. The other does nothing. I agree with the drooling part though.

Are you able to obtain further minor information on the Model 57?
Would be interested in talking further on this interesting scarce model.
I have three kits and am going to build one for me when I have the time. I have been able to take a number of pictures of the rifle, parts and magazines.

I have a partskit of one of these beretta 57 kits its missing the magazine and the back portion of the receiver. If anyone has a magazine or photos of the back end of the receiver that would be great.
