Actually....

There are two systems that allow you to run all the windows software you want on apples. VMware and Parallels are the ones I have used in depth. Lets you run windows as virtual machines. Both gave me some of the most stable windows machines I have ever used. Mind you I also built them up using clean copies of windows from MS sans all the garbage the makers like HP load on their machines. Really good rigs and very cool to have windows running in a window on a mac. In fact on one mac I had both windows and linux running in separate windows at the same time. The stable unix core underlying OSX allows a lot of neat things to be possible.

Can't you take it back for a refund?
Every shitbird in the world takes stuff back all the time.
I'd think a regular honest working man could do the same.

Chuck Back in 09 I had a worst event happen to me and I switched to Appel. There was a slight learning curve but there are programs that allow you to use MS products on the Appel system without any problem. I would never go back to MS. Harry

The whole PC vs Mac thing has been argued to death, but since I run both for various reasons, I can catagorically state that love ‘em or hate ‘em Macs have been the most stable and long lived computers I have owned to include machines I have built myself and run Linux on. Pay the extra for the applecare if you go down the Mac path. It more than pays for itself.

BTW, I am writing this on a 4 year old Macbook. Never had a HP laptop last that long.

Ouch. I am very sorry. HP had some of the worst support, too, iirc. :/ We had good luck with lenovos when I was doing IT in college, that was a pretty long while back in computer years, though. Good luck on the hunt!
