		<description><![CDATA[In response to Bob, no, the M &amp; P was first produced in 1899, the same year my Grandmother was born.  I had one with a 3 digit serial number produced in 1900, caliber 38 S &amp; W Special.  The gun was designed from the very first to be .38 Special.  The British 38/200, incidentally, is the same as the .38 S&amp;W, but with a 200 grain bullet.]]></description>
