I wanted to provide an update as to my work on the repair sections. I have developed a method of forming the section without the $16,000 in would require in the dies alone. It does require welding the cam surface joint at the top of the section as well as the cam surface at the lower joint along the angles portion, and finally requiring the bottom seam to be welded. While this wasn’t ideal it did significantly reduce the per unit cost to something that would be marketable. Currently this price is now $300.
