I don’t know if it is or not a police carbine or just something someone made up. What I do know is that it was fun to shoot, was in a caliber that I can buy and uses AK magazines. Everyone at the shoot that shot it really like it. So while I am trying to get back into the swing of things here is the video.
It that in 7.62 x 39? Interesting weapon, looks like part of it came from a PPsH. What is the status on the 06 project? Harry
Yes in 7.62×39. It is a czech model 52 rifle and it shoots great.
Tell us more about this firearm. I only know the VZ52 in 7.62x45mm and this is seems to be a colsed bolt PPSH or soemthing similar. Never seen or heard of it before.
It is closed bolt. It also has a nice look about it. I will post pictures a little later. It is based upon the Czech model 52.
I picked up a Czech model 52 police carbine, no magazines or drums, in an estate sale. Does this piece take a standard 30 round 7.62×39 magazine, or drum? When I put a 30 round mag (7.62×39) in the mag opening the tab was too long and would not let the mag slip into place and lock.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a specific mag that is used for this weapon?
I have not seen many of these carbines around. Are they rare, or just have not been circulated like the other Czech, Polish, Romanian arms?
Thanks
Timothy
